Privacy Policy
Last updated September 14, 2026
1. What this covers
This policy explains what Smart-Feed collects when you use the app, why, and what control you have over it. Smart-Feed lets you sign in with Google and record your screen or camera directly in your browser.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
- Recordings. Screen, camera, and microphone audio you capture using Smart-Feed is uploaded to our storage provider and associated with your account. Recording only starts when you explicitly click record, and your browser shows its own native permission prompt before Smart-Feed can access your screen, camera, or microphone.
- Usage data. Basic technical metadata about a recording (platform, file size, upload time) so your recordings list works and we can debug problems.
3. How we use it
To operate your account, store and display your recordings back to you, and to keep the service running. We do not sell your data or your recordings, and we do not use your recordings to train any model.
4. Where it is stored
Account and recording metadata are stored in Firebase Firestore. Recording files are stored in Firebase Storage. Both are access-controlled to your account.
5. Your controls
You can request deletion of your account and all associated recordings at any time by contacting us. We will remove the underlying files and database records, not just hide them from view.
6. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is handled, we will update the date above and, where required, notify you directly.
7. Contact
Questions about this policy or a data request can be sent to the contact address listed on the Smart-Feed website.
